African fencing union meets in Morocco

The African Fencing Union will meet in Morocco this June 23-24 to discuss a number of issues related to promoting fencing in Africa and set a venue for the African qualifying Championships for the Olympic games due in Sidney next year.
Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia and South Africa are bidding for hosting the African fencing championships.
On the fringes of the African fencing meeting, Morocco will dedicate a fencing school and competent authorities will hold meetings with head of the International fencing federation on ways of developing this sports in the Kingdom.
