Morocco's Crown Prince Sidi Mohammed returned Thursday home after a three-day visit to Pretoria, where he attended the inauguration ceremony of new South African president Thabo Mbeki.
The Crown Prince -- who represented King Hassan II in Mbeki's swearing-in ceremony and farewell to former president Nelson Mandela-- was accompanied by minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohamed Benaissa, minister of higher education, Najib Zerouali and other personalities.
During his stay in Pretoria, the Crown Prince met with several world leaders including Moammar Gaddafi of Libya, presidents Yasser Arafat of Palestine, Haj Omar Bongo of Gabon, Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria and Crown Prince of Spain Felipe de Bourbon.
Talks focused on cooperation prospects between Morocco and these friendly countries, the situation in Africa and topical issues of common concern.
