287 new companies in Upper Egypt

287 new companies were established in governerates of upper Egypt with a capital of 1.4 billion pounds, said Ibrahim Fawzi, head of Egypt's general organization for investment.
He said that Upper Egypt had attracted investors in the last three years and that the total number of Upper Egypt's companies reached 745 till now with a capital of 2.9 billion pounds. He added that these new investments came in the framework of the Egyptian government's plan to confront the increasing Islamic violence in Upper Egypt resulting from the unemployment of Egyptian youths.
