Italian sailors killers sentenced

Algerian security forces killed one member of the Armed Islamic Group in al-Karkara town in Skeikda province. The Algerian daily al-Khabar said on Wednesday that the armed groups killed one old man and burnt one house in Awlad Jebeyeh town in Skeikda province.
The paper added that one person was killed and another was wounded following a bomb explosion in Da'erat Wassat in the Algerian Tebessa province.
Meanwhile, the criminal court in the Algerian province of Jijel sentenced four persons who are accused of killing the seven Italian sailors in Jeijel port in 1994 to death in absentia.
