Saudi food to Iraq
Saudi Arabia-Iraq, Economics, 6/17/1999
In the framework of the oil-for-food program a Saudi food shipment arrived in Iraq on Tuesday at a cost of US $150 million. The secretary general of the Saudi Chambers council, Osama al-Kurdi, stated that Saudi businessmen are exporting Saudi products in the context of the UN program.
He added this process has been continuous for months. He continued that "the exportation process is made via the UN and not directly to Iraq and in the context of the UN program's regulations."
