Lahoud: Sidon crime meant to create tension in Lebanon
Lebanon, Politics, 6/16/1999
Lebanese President Emile Lahoud held Israel responsible for the crime committed in the justice palace in Sidon that resulted in the deaths of four judges at the criminal court.
During his reception of several delegations on Tuesday in Beirut, the Lebanese president said, "Lebanon's enemies do not want it to enjoy peace."
He continued, "When they found out that the liberation of Jezzine did not disturb conditions, those enemies killed the judges in Sidon, hoping to bring tension again."
President Lahoud added, "This crime has increased our might and unified us under the independent law in Lebanon."
