Khartoum hopes to normalize relations with Algeria

The Sudanese Cabinet has renewed its desire to strengthen relations with Algeria. It considered the positive developments in the bilateral relations as "an important step towards final and ultimate normalization."
The Sudanese Cabinet in its session, presided over by Sudanese First Vice President Ali Othman Muhammad Taha, expressed appreciation for the sincere efforts made by Algerian President-elect Abdelaziz Boutefliqa for maintaining the unity of Algeria and unifying its ranks.
The Sudanese Cabinet also commended the "positive developments in the relations between Sudan and Egypt, as well as Sudan's developed relations with the European Union."
