Sudanese, Eritrean Foreign ministers sign agreement in Qatar

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Asmara released a statement early this morning saying that the Eritrean Minister of Foreign Affairs, Haile Woldensae, has met with Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustapha Osman Ismael in Doha, Qatar.
The meeting between the foreign ministers is a follow up to the meeting between Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki and Sudanese head of state Gen. Omar Al Beshir also held in Qatar last month.
This morning, the foreign ministers signed an agreement to establish a joint committee between the two ministries to seek solutions for pending issues, particularly with regard to security matters in accordance with the May Doha agreement, the statement added.
It was agreed that the committees would meet alternately between the capitals of both countries. In addition, the ministers agreed to establish three subcommittees to deal with
1. political affairs
2. security and military affairs
3. economic and commercial affairs.
The meeting is being hosted by the government of Qatar with Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamed Bin Jassim Bin Jebr acting as a signatory to the agreement.
