Tunisian prime minister arrives in Jordan today
Jordan-Tunisia, Politics, 6/14/1999
Tunisian Prime Minister Hamed Karoui is expected to arrive in Amman today on a three-day working visit to Jordan, during which he will meet with his Jordanian counterpart, Abdul Raouf al-Rawabdeh, and the two premiers will preside over the meetings of the joint committee on cooperation between the two countries.
This visit by the Tunisian Premier comes just two weeks following the visit held by King Abdullah Bin Hussein of Jordan to Tunisia, during which he agreed with the Tunisian President Zein al-Abidin Bin Ali to intensify bilateral cooperation.
Tunisia and Jordan have held since four years periodical meetings for the joint higher committee on the level of the prime ministers. These meetings resulted in signing new agreements, one of which pertains to free trade exchange.
