Hariri meets with Bashar al-Assad and Berri

Former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri on Sunday visited Damascus where he met with Maj. Gen. Bashar al-Assad. Talks dealt with general conditions in Lebanon and the region. Upon returning from Damascus to Beirut, Hariri did not make any press statements.
Later in the day, Hariri met with the speaker of the Lebanese Parliament in Ein al-Tineh. The two men reviewed the latest developments in the Lebanese arena and evaluated the grave consequences of last week's massacre, which claimed the lives of four judges in the justice palace in Sidon.
