Nabih Berri concludes visit to Tunisia

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri held a press conference in Tunis last night at the end of his three-day visit, the first of its sort, in which Tunisian President Zein El-Abdin bin Ali received a message from his Lebanese counterpart, Emile Lahoud.
Berri announced that he discussed with high-ranking Tunisian officials and his Tunisian counterpart, Fouad al-Matta and Foreign Minister Said bin Mustafa the stances of Libya and Syria based on convening a comprehensive Arab summit and opposing convening a five-fold summit.
Berri said that pressures by the arab states should be maintained against Israeli till it will return to Madrid peace principals
Berri added that he has called on Tunis to play a larger role in forwarding Arab coordination within the coming months, adding that Syrian, Lebanese and Palestinian leaders will be exposed to US pressures before the US elections with the claim of helping Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak's government.
