Meeting of the Moroccan - Saudi joint committee delayed

The meeting of the sixth session of the Moroccan - Saudi joint committee, which was to start its works today in Riyadh, was delayed to an unspecified date.

The preparatory committee which includes experts from the two states is to convene on Saturday and Sunday, paving the way for the meeting of the two ministerial joint committees under the chairmanship of Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisel and Moroccan Foreign Minister Mohammed Benaissa.

The two ministers are to discuss economic issues listed on the agenda, the most important of which are establishing a free trade zone for commercial exchange that is being studied by the preparatory committee, as well as discussing cooperation in investment fields, especialy in the agricultural sector, energy, mining, air, land and maritime transportation, health, housing, construction and vocational training.
