Endorsing a peace agreement in Kosovo

Egypt expressed its relief towards the endorsement of the peace pact concerning Kosovo.

Foreign Minister Amr Moussa said that after signing this pact, the Kosovo crisis will be moving from stage of a military clash to political settlement and from the measures taken by NATO to measures implemented by United Nations mechanisms.

In this way, he said, the role of the UN becomes effective in returning international legitimacy and work in light of this legitimacy

Moussa also stated that starting the political settlement means the return of the refugees to Kosovo and respect for their rights to self-rule and for the sovereignty of Yugoslavia.
