Jordan celebrates King Abdullah's investiture

Jordan on Wednesday celebrated the investiture of King Abdullah Bin Hussein. A huge celebration was held on this occasion at the royal palace in the presence of a great number of guests, princes, high-ranking Jordanian state officials, people and party activists and members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Amman.
The celebrations were limited to presenting congratulations to the king and to Queen Rania, who both toured the streets of Amman before arriving at the celebration site.
Meanwhile, King Abdullah, in a special meeting held by the armed forces on the Jordanian army's anniversary which falls today was awarded with the "marshal stick," presented to him by the Jordanian army's chief of staff, Muri' al-Kabenah.
