British university to open its doors in Egypt in 2000

The Egyptian business council decided in its meeting yesterday in Cairo to establish a British university in Cairo to meet the requirements of the Egyptian market and economy for academic specializations in the fields of engineering and management.
The university is expected to be opened for students in 2002. A number of businessmen, companies, bank, from Egypt and British will participate in building the school.
Egyptian Minister of Economy Youssef Ghali, who witnessed the meeting, confirming the importance of making use of British experiences to upgrade the Egyptian economy and financial market.
