Sanaa denies mediation to free leader of extremists

Yemeni Interior Minister Brigadier General Muther Tachad El-Masri denied thereports that there are Yemeni parties mediating to release Abu El-Hassan El-Mehdar, the leader of the Aden Islamic Army, who is sentenced to death in a terrorist case.
Reports said a British boxer descending from Yemeni origin, Nassim Hamed, held a mediation during his visit to Sanaa last month to free a British group chaired by Abu El-Hassan that is accused of implementing terrorist operations against foreigners resulting in the death of four tourists at the end of last year.
