70 Egyptian experts in nuclear science work at universities all over the world

A field study made by the Egyptian central department for statistics and mobilization has estimated that the number of Egyptians working in the USA, Australia and European countries amounts to nearly 824,000, most of them carry nationalities.

According to the study, the USA came at the top of the countries luring Egyptian employees, where their number amounted to 318,000 Egyptians, followed by Canada with 110,000, then Italy with 90,000, Australia with 70,000, Greece with 60,000, Holland with 40,000, France 36,000, Britain and Germany each have 24,000, Austria and Switzerland each have 14,000, then Spain comes in the last position where 12,000 Egyptians are working.

The study says that, London came in the first position of attracting businessmen with 140 Egypt businessmen, then Germany with 135, Switzerland with 128, Holland with 105, Italy with 85, Spain with 84, Greece with 29, while neither the USA nor Canada have Egyptian businessmen.

The study said the activities of Egyptian businessmen in these countries are distributed among fields of finance, trade, export and import, industry, tourism, managing houses of financial and technical experience.

For the scientific fields, the study counted that there are more than 2,600 Egyptians working in high-ranking scientific posts in engineering, medicine, science, agriculture, and psychology.

The United States topped the countries attracting experts, with 844 scientists working there, then Germany with 340 Egyptian scientists, Australia with 244, Canada with 196, London with 187, Spain with 142, France with 132 Austria with 131, Switzerland with 107, Holland with 86, Greece with 60 and Italy with 46.

Moreover the study uncovered that there are important Egyptian specialization in number of vital sectors, as science there are 26 Egyptian scientists in the field of atomic science, 48 in chemistry, 22 in biology and earthquakes, 25 ones in astronomy, 28 in biological, in medicine, there are 132 Egyptian surgeries in heart operations abroad, 13 nuclear medicine, 20 in radiation treatment, 52 in poisons treatment.

In engineering, the study uncovers that there are 44 Egyptians working as experts and those who give lectures in nuclear engineering in these countries beside 72 experts working in field of using lasers, 31 experts in electronic technology.
