Moussa meets with head of World Economic Forum

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa met with Klaus Schwab, head of the World Economic Forum, who said in answering a question regarding whether the matter of convening the economic conference for regional cooperation for North Africa and the Middle East will be discussed in light of the assumption of the Israeli new government to the power, "We are waiting to see a real progress for peace."
He added, "Points of view were exchanged regarding the current circumstances," and he expressed his hope that the circumstances for reactivating such a conference would be provided during the coming months.
Schwab stated that he will make consultations with Palestinian President Yasser Arafat and that he will meet with officials in Israel at the beginning of the coming week.
Regarding the place location for convening the coming economic conference, he said, "The place will be Cairo, as it the largest economic force in the area and it is normal to convene it in the place in which an effective economy exists."
Schwab added that he discussed with Moussa the results of the WEF's annual conference.
He added that he and Moussa agreed regarding certain ideas, like reforming the international financial structure and the need to increase the concern with development.
