There is no animal epidemic in Morocco
Morocco-European Union, Economics, 6/4/1999
There is no animal epidemic in Morocco, and the isolated cases of Mouth and Feet disease (MFD), which were reported lately, have been controlled, a Moroccan minister said Thursday during the question time at the parliament.
"The isolated cases of the livestock MFD, which were reported lately in Morocco, have been controlled thanks to the nationwide vaccination campaign launched last February," the Moroccan minister in charge of the Maghreb, Arab and Islamic affairs told Mps.
He said Moroccan veterinarians will meet shortly with Spanish peers to inform them on the moves made by Morocco to contain the plague.
The Moroccan experts will present to the Spanish scientific authorities tangible evidence proving that Morocco is a MFD-free country, Znined said on behalf of Moroccan agriculture minister.
