Joint committee to study lands on the Jordanian - Syrian borders

Jordanian Agriculture Minister Hashem al-Shabboul has asserted that matters relating to the territories located on the border strip with Syria will be "ready" during the next month. In a statement to the Jordanian daily al-Dostour issued on Wednesday, the Jordanian minister said that the area of the uncultivated lands is estimated at 27,000 dunums, owned by Jordanian citizens in al-Ramtha, al-Tarra, al-Shajara, Amrawa and al-Zneiba. He stated that a Jordanian- Syrian joint committee continues work in order to put a solution to this matter.
