US jets attacked "Iraqi military command and control facilities" located to the south of Mosul, a statement from Incirlik air base in Turkey said. US F-16 and F-15 jets bombed the facilities after coalition aircraft flying as part of Operation Northern Watch enforcing the no-fly zone over northern Iraq were targeted by Iraqi radar, the statement said. It added that the aircraft returned safely to their base.
