Morocco allots $ 10 million to refurbish university campuses

Morocco has allotted more than $ 10 million to refurbish university campuses and improve the nearby environment.

The announcement was made by minister of higher education and scientific research, Najib Zerouali, at a meeting with rectors of Moroccan universities.

Zerouali also announced that under a project, co-financed by the U.N Development Program, university graduates wishing to set up enterprises in the fields of engineering and law will be given financial assistance.

The higher education and scientific research department will also finance research projects in industrial fields part of the drives to adapt the Moroccan universities to their social and economic environment.

It will equally award four prizes to reward the University, the Faculty, the Department and the Lab of the Year.
