India obtains right to repair and develop Iraqi petroleum establishments

India and Iraq signed yesterday an agreement for repairing establishments for producing and refining Iraqi petroleum that have been damaged.
According to this agreement, India will obtain special treatment in the bids raised for developing petroleum production in Iraq and in purchasing contracts.
Iraqi Minister of Petroleum Amer Mohammed Rashid said his country presented India with a list of the necessary spare parts for repairing petroleum establishments damaged because of war and international sanctions.
