People's Assembly supports Mubarak's reelection to fourth term

The Egyptian People's Assembly (parliament) reelected President Hosni Muabark for his fourth presidential term during a historic session held today.
The head of the council, Fathi Sorour, presented the request of 444 the council's members to reelect Mubarak for a fourth term, during which he will continue to carry the responsibility for the national work in order to continue the measures he began and achieve national prosperity.
The Egyptian opposition New Wafd Party, Socialist Liberal Party, Social Justice Party, National Progressive Unionist Grouping, and Ummah Party all supported president Mubarak for a new term while the Nasserist Party announced its opposition to reelecting President Mubarak.
