Kahalani and Israeli settlement in the Golan

Israeli Minister of the Interior Avigdor Kahalani on Tuesday asserted that a sum of 14 million Israeli shekels has been frozen within the past few months, funds which were to be transferred to the settlement units in the occupied Golan at a time when talks are being made on resuming negotiations on the Syrian track.
For his part the chairman of the Golan settlements council, Goulan Ehuda Goulan, noted that the sums have been suspended. Israeli Finance Minister Maeir Shtreit has denied that his ministry suspended sums allocated for the settlement units in the Golan, Israel Radio reported.
