French-Libyan relations highlighted

The secretary general of the people's committee for foreign contacts and international cooperation in Libya (the foreign minister), Omar al-Muntasir, on Tuesday discussed with the advisor of the French president for African affairs, Michael De Bouch, French-Libyan relations and regional and international issues of mutual concern.
This was expressed during the meeting held between al-Muntasir and the French official together with members of his delegation in Tripoli on Monday night.
The discussions concentrated on the peace process in Africa's Great Lakes region, specifically in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as bilateral relations.
The French president's advisor began his visit to Libya on Sunday, when he held similar talks with Abd El-Salam El-Turki, the assistant secretary for African affairs in the people's committee for foreign contact and international cooperation.
