Omani FM concludes visit to Iran

Oman's minister of state for foreign affairs Youssef Bin Alawi on Monday concluded his official visit to Iran which lasted for three-days.
In a pre-departure statement to press-men in Tehran, Bin Alawi described results of his visit to Iran as very positive. He said this visit has provided a good chance to hold talks in the area of strengthening bilateral relations and debating most important issues on the regional and international levels.
Bin Alawi added that President Khatami agreed to visit Oman and the date for such a visit to be fixed later.
For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi who had seen off his Omani counterpart at Tehran International Airport noted the level of relations between Iran and Oman. He said that during Bin Alawi's "visit to Iran viewpoints were exchanged in the fields of bilateral relations and regional and international issues."
Kharazi added that the two countries give special interest to strengthening peace and security in the region and that they are determined to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the political, cultural and economic domains.
