Egypt's largest pyramid to be reopened on Thursday

The Egyptian ministry of culture has decided to reopen Cheops pyramids to visitors on Thursday in addition to three tombs and sphinx temple, in light of Egypt's preparations for celebrations of the third millennium.
Zahi Hawas, the head of the antiquity sector in Giza, told ArabicNews.com that Cheops pyramid was closed a year ago, allowing salts to be removed and a new fan system to be built.
In addition, for the first time in the Giza pyramids' history the first and second rooms will be opened, and the number of visitors to the pyramid will be limited to 300 daily so as to maintain to the pyramid.
In addition, the renovated Sphinx temple is considered the first temple of sun in Pharonic Egypt, and the three tombs are those of Tawez whose age extends to 4,200 years, owned by the royal secret holder; the second is owned by Prince Tawez, the minister of King Khafraa; and third is owned by Sonfer, one of the treasury ministers in the age of King Mankara.
