Gaddafi for strengthening relations with African states

Libyan President Col. Moammar Gaddafi, who is the chairman of the presidium of the gathering of the coastal and desert states on Sunday received a message from President Blaise Compaore of Burkina Faso, who is the current chairman of the Organization of African Unity, in which he stressed his country's backing for the role played by Libya to establish a just and comprehensive peace on the African continent.
The message was delievered by Burkina Faso's minister of state and President Compaore's special envoy during his meeting with Gaddafi on Sunday.
Gaddafi also received a similar message from the chairman of the National Reconciliation Council in Niger, who is also the president, Maj. Daouda Mallam Wanke. The message was handed over by member of the Nigerien National Reconciliation Council, Ahmad Muhammad.
