Syrian - Russian health accord
Syria-Russia, Health, 5/29/1999
Syria and Russia signed today an accord on medicine and health care, signed by Syrian Deputy Minister of Health Shayesh Yousef and Russia's ambassador in Syria, Viktor Goguitdze.
The agreement calls for cooperation in health care, upgrading medical personnel, and exchanging experts on research and pharmaceutical drugs, SANA reported.
Syrian Minister of Health Iyad Shatti also attended the signing.
The agreement also called for the two countries to participate in exhibitions organized by the two sides and for exchange of data, specialists and delegations, SANA said.
