Syrian Premier meets with Malaysian trade minister

Syrian Prime Minister Mahmoud al-Zou'bi on Thursday received Malaysian Minister of Trade and Industry Rafidah binti Abdul Aziz and members of her accompanying delegation.

Aziz conveyed to al-Zou'bi the greetings of Malaysian Premier Mahathir bin Muhammad. Talks dealt with results of the Syrian-Malaysian business seminar held on Wednesday in Damascus as well as trade cooperation relations between the two countries and means of reactivating and revitalizing them and available possibilities to establish joint projects between investors from the two countries.

Earlier in the day, Syrian Deputy Premier for Economic Affairs Salim Yassin and Minister of the Economy and Foreign Trade Muhammad al-Imadi met with the Malaysian minister. Talks dealt with trade and economic relations between the two countries and the chances available to strengthen these relations.
