Export-Import Bank of the United States specifies $1 billion to finance Egyptian projects

The Export-Import Bank of the United States said yesterday that it is currently discussing providing financing of $1 billion for projects in Egypt in the fields of energy, communications, transportation and environment.
Maria Luisa M. Haley, a member of the bank's board of directors who is currently visiting Egypt as part of a U.S.A commercial and investment delegation, said that Egyptian economic form made the bank agree to this program which helps finance Egyptian projects aimed at exports.
Haley said there is no ceiling for financing projects in Egypt during the coming period and that this program just a start for the bank to enter the Egyptian market, adding that the bank finances projects worth $15 billion annually on the international level.
