37 New industrial corporations in Lebanon

A press statement issued by the Lebanese embassy in Cairo stated that the number of new industrial corporations reached 37 during last April with funds worth 8.4 billion Lebanese lira and that these projects provided 284 new job opportunities.
The statement also said the number of the new industrial corporations since the beginning of the year reached 178, with funds of 35.2 billion lira.
It said these projects provided 1,463 jobs and that the funds invested in the industrial sector recorded a reduction of 68% in comparison with the first four months of 1998 and an increase in number of industrial corporations of 23.6%
