Report: King Abdullah conveyed Syrian message to the US

The London-based al-Hayat daily published on Wednesday said, quoting Jordanian sources in New York, that Jordan's King Abdullah carried to the US a message from Syria. The sources said the message states that Syria is ready to implement its stand which is based on the concept in that "peace is Syria's strategic option."
In its Wednesday edition, the paper added that King Abdullah asserted during his meeting with all persons concerned in America, especially the Jewish organizations, that doubts about Syria are not in their due place and that Jordan is optimistic over what it felt was Syria's sincere wish to work toward peace with Israel.
