Head of Egyptian investment organization visits Canada
Egypt-Canada, Economics, 5/26/1999

Ibrahim Fawzi, head of the general organization for investment and Egyptian free zones, left Cairo yesterday heading to Montreal escorted by a large delegation of Egyptian businessmen on a four-day visit to Canada.

Fawzi said before leaving that, "The visit aims at urging Canadian companies to invest in Egypt and offer opportunities and climate for investment in Egypt."

He said it is possible that to have Canadian investment operations in Egypt through participation in projects with the Egyptian side or through special projects with Canadians.

The businessmen will agree during the visit with the Canadian side on a timetable for starting the activity of the Canadian - Egyptian Company, which will reclaim and cultivate 40,000 acres in east El-Oiwainat.
