El-Bashir expects positive changes in relations with Egypt

Sudanese President Omar El-Bashir expected a positive development in Egyptian - Sudanese relations during the coming period.

In statements to Sudanese television, El-Bashir said relations between El-Khartoum and the neighboring countries witnessed a remarkable improvement in the last period.

He said that there is no problem between his country and Ethiopia and that there are current communications with Eritrean President Assyas Afworki to ensure the situation on the two countries borders.

El-Bashir said that former U.S. President Jimmy Carter will visit Khartoum soon in light of his efforts to ending the dispute between Sudan and Uganda.

El-Bashir stated that his government will resume its efforts to achieve national reconciliation in Sudan, and he referred to arrangements that are currently being made to gather all political forces.
