A Moroccan union calls for general strike in several sectors

The Moroccan General Labor Union (UGTM) called for a general strike in the sectors of education, agriculture, municipalities and goods road transports. The date of the strike will be decided by the unions of the concerned sectors, the UGTM (close to the Istiqlal Party which is participating in the coalition government) said in a release published by L'Opinion daily.
The strike decision was made in view of the material and moral situation of the Moroccan labor class which has been continuously deteriorating, the UGTM said.
