On accusing Gaddafi of the Lockerbie incident
Libya-UK, Politics, 5/25/1999
The British Foreign Ministry on Monday abstained from commenting on what was published by the British daily "Sunday Times" on Sunday that the British government has evidence of the involvement of Libyan President Moammar Gaddafi in the explosion of the US Pan Am jet over Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988.
A spokesman for the British Foreign Office said on Monday that the ministry has no comment on this matter as long as the Lockerbie issue is submitted to the courts.
The spokesman reiterated that Britain had no secret plans concerning its demand to hand over the two Libyans suspected of being involved in the Lockerbie issue for trial in the Hague, Holland.
