Lebanese president meets with Egyptian parliament speaker

Lebanese President Emile Lahoud on Monday in Beirut received the speaker of the Egyptian People's Assembly (parliament), Ahmad Fathi Srour, who is leading a Francophonic delegation. Talks dealt with Francophonic matters, matters pertaining to civil law and regulations and future prospects.
The Lebanese president in this respect extended an invitation to the secretary general of the Franchophonic organization, Butros Butros Ghali, in preparation for the Franchophonic summit to be convened in the year 2001.
