Shehab calls on Arab organizations to take up issue of Kuwaiti captives

Egyptian Minister of State for Higher Education and Scientific Research Mofid Shehab called on Arab non-governmental organizations to adopt the issue of the Kuwaiti captives before international and Arab circles, considering it a humanitarian issue and one of the results of the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990.

During his meeting with a Kuwaiti women's delegation, Shehab expressed yesterday the sympathy of Egyptian public opinion and people's executive political corporations with this issue.

He also referred to the Egyptian role in supporting the steadfastness of the Kuwaiti people during the Iraqi invasion, adding that since the first moment, he has been praising the role of Kuwaiti women and their participation in public activity in Kuwait.

The Kuwaiti delegation is chaired by Dalal El-Zeim, a member of the Kuwaiti committee for captives and missing affairs.
