Sudanese president meets with Nimeiri

Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir met on Saturday night with former Sudanese President Jaafar Nimeiri who arrived earlier in the day in Khartoum.
A BBC correspondent said that Nimeiri told a crowd of people who received him at the airport that he has come back to work with the Sudanese people in order "to preserve the unity, heritage and potential of the homeland."
Nimeiri called on all national forces inside and outside Sudan to give up on partitions and divisions and to work collectively to achieve national reconciliation.
