Bouteflika for strengthening Arab League role

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika has asserted his commitment to sincerely strengthening the role played by the Arab League (AL) and to ensuring the necessary conditions to achieve inter-Arab reconciliation to maintain the Arab states' dignity.
In a reply to a cable of thanks from Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid, which the Algerian president received on the occasion of winning the Algerian Presidential elections, he reiterated Algeria's continued support for the efforts of the AL chief to "fasten the foundations of the Arab house" to ensure the position inspired by the Arab people toward unity and progress.
