Egyptian diplomatic delegation heads to Khartoum
Egypt-Sudan, Politics, 5/22/1999
An Egyptian delegation under the chairmanship of Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister Foad Yousef arrived in Khartoum yesterday to discuss the delivery of Egyptian establishments that are to be given back by Sudan in a step toward rectifying the atmospheres between the two states.
The Sudanese embassy in Cairo delivered Cairo a note that details the establishments that Sudan agreed to give back to Egypt, as these properties were confiscated during the crisis between the two states.
The Egyptian delegation's visit to Sudan is considered a positive step toward improving relations, especially after the Egyptian efforts with the Sudanese opposition to reach reconciliation with Sudan's government.
