Upgrading Sinai airports with $250 million

The Egyptian government has decided to specify $250 million for upgrading Sinai airports, including the upgrading of Sharm airport, as well as two terminals for travelers and terminals for arrivals and departures to serve 1,200 passengers per hour, instead of the 800 passengers per hour it currently serve.
This will allow the airports to receive 2 million passengers yearly. It will also increase the number of spots for planes to parking to 20, up from eight.
Moreover the main runway of El-Toor airport will be upgraded to receive all types of planes, and the main runway of Taba airport will also be upgraded.
Furthermore, Ras Sedr airport will be established by the B.O.T (build - operate - transfer) system and the improvements related to Sant Catherina Airport will be also developed.
