Syrian - Jordanian committee to confer next week

Jordanian - Syrian meetings were held yesterday on the fields of energy, mineral wealth, irrigation, and agriculture, preparing for convening the mutual economic committee in Damascus next week.
Official sources said the talks tackled the implementation of an electric linkage project in Syria and Jordan to be completed in September, the final features of the technical measures concerning the carrying out of al-Wahda dam, and agricultural cooperation relations between the two countries and means upgrading them.
The high - joint committee has not met since 1989.
