1,000 Egyptian women in the Egyptian stock market

Statistics issued by the organization of the Egyptian financial market said that there are 1,000 women who work in 150 brokerage companies in all administrative, financial, commercial activities and clearance.
Among those 1,000 are 15 women inside the main chamber of the stock market, including the deputy chairman for the board of directors for bank note exchange companies.
Until 1992 there were no women in the Egyptian stock market until Ibrahim El-Kilani was able to obtain permission to enter the main chamber in 1992, after which she was followed by 15 other women.
