Israel's raids on south Lebanon

Israeli warplanes on Wednesday night raided the western sector of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said that Israeli warplanes fired four air-to-surface missiles on the area located near the highway between al-Heneyeh and Zibqin towns, where a large explosion took place.

Lebanese ambulances and civil defense forces hurried to the site out of fears that other missiles will be exploded. Lebanese army and resistance anti-aircraft missiles were fired on the Israeli planes which dropped thermal balloons.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese resistance carried out a series of operations against the Israeli occupation and its militia allies in the occupied part of south Lebanon. In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said one of its groups attacked on Wednesday afternoon the Israeli occupation position in Sujoud, using machine gun and rockets.

The statement added that another resistance group attacked an Israeli patrol in the surroundings of Sujoud town.
