Sudan agrees on returning the Egyptian possessions in El-Khartoum

The Sudanese government has preliminarily agreed upon delivering 12 rest houses to Egypt, as well as an Egyptian building for irrigation that will be delivered according to a time schedule specified by a technical committee formed by the two states.
Official sources in the Egyptian Ministry of Water Resources and Public Works confirmed the Sudanese government's approval on returning the Egyptian constructions back, on the margin of meetings of water ministers from the Nile Basin states in Addis Ababa.
The sources stated that Sudan put a condition that Egyptian government carry all costs of amendments made to some rest houses and irrigation buildings in Khartoum.
During the coming week, there will be a meeting to discuss the final arrangements and how to pay the costs.
The sources described this Sudanese decision as a step towards the improvement of Egyptian - Sudanese ties, and referred to the schedule the committee is discussing to deliver the buildings of the Cairo University branch in Khartoum as well as other education buildings.
