Egypt and India sign partnership agreement

The Indian - Egyptian partnership agreement between the Indian Industrial Union, the Egyptian Industrial Union and the Union of Egyptian Trade Chambers was signed yesterday to support bilateral cooperation on the level of business organizations and activating the role of the Indian - Egyptian business council.

A delegation that includes 14 Indian businessmen who work in the fields of electricity, engineering, automotive industries and aviation equipment, fabrics and textiles, ceramics, torpedoes, steel, steel productions industries and chemical industries in addition to specialists in resisting environmental pollution visited Cairo from May 14 - 19.

The Indian ambassador in Cairo, Sheif Macargi, said he hopes for the increase of commercial exchange between Egypt and India from $435 million annually to $1 billion in the coming year.
