Morocco and Portugal sign cooperation accord in scientific research

Morocco and Portugal agree Tuesday here to develop their cooperation and partnership in the fields of scientific research and related sectors.

The accord -- initialled by Portuguese minister of science and technology, Jose Mariano Caco, and Moroccan secretary of state in charge of scientific research, Omar Fassi Fihri-- provides for the exchange of scientific experiences, the launching of joint programs and the holding of regular meetings to identify priority sectors for coordination.

Morocco and Portugal are bound by several accords in the technical and scientific fields.

The Moroccan official is visiting Portugal since Monday will go to several Portuguese institutes and labs to prospect the possibility of enhancing partnership in various scientific disciplines.
